Bavaro & Punta Cana – Weather, Thursday, June 30

It is now 6:37 am. We have Sunshine, haze, and a mix of clouds. The temperature is 82°F / 28°C and rising. The wind is calm. Satellite views and long range radar show bands of rain and clouds to the east and south so we can expect a little Sun and then a day of clouds, high humidity, and possibility of showers. Today’s high will be about 96°F / 36°C. The winds will be out of the ENE at 11 mph / 18 km/h. This evening we can expect the clouds to continue with high humidity and a possibility of a showers. The winds will be from the ESE at 8 mph / 14 km/h. Last night’s low was 78°F / 26°C. Tonight’s low is anticipated to be about 79°F / 26°C.

Yesterday was mostly Sunny and humid. There were intervals of scattered clouds. The late afternoon brought about some localized thundershowers of short duration and they were over before Sundown. The high temperature was 97°F / 36°C. The highest sustained winds were out of the E at 16 mph / 26 km/h.

It is now 6:42 am. We have a thin overcast. The temperature is 79°F / 26°C and rising. The wind is calm. Today we can expect periods of Sun and clouds and high humidity with a chance of showers. Today’s high will be about 97°F / 36°C. The winds will be out of the E at 11 mph / 18 km/h. This evening we can expect scattered clouds, high humidity and a chance of thundershowers. The winds will be from the ESE at 6 mph / 10 km/h. Last night’s low was 79°F / 26°C. Tonight’s low is anticipated to be about 80°F / 27°C.

It is now 6:53 am. We had some predawn thundershowers. It is now Sunny amidst a very hazy atmosphere. The temperature is 79°F / 26°C and rising. The wind is calm. Today we can expect partly Sunny to clear conditions, high humidity, and a small chance of showers. Today’s high will be about 97°F / 36°C. The winds will be out of the SE at 8 mph / 14 km/h. This evening we can expect a cloudy patchwork, high humidity and a possibility of thundershowers. The winds will be from the E at 8 mph / 14 km/h. Last night’s low was 78°F / 26°C. Tonight’s low is anticipated to be about 79°F / 26°C.

It is now 6:43 am. We had some heavy showers overnight and there is a heavy overcast with showers right now. The temperature is 78°F / 26°C and increasing slowly. The wind is from the ESE at 3 mph / 5 km/h with some higher gusts. Today expect heavy bands of rain as a result of T.S. Dennis’s passing south of the island along with high humidity and strong breezes. The high will be about 90°F / 32°C. The winds will be out of the ESE at 24 mph / 39 km/h with some higher gusts. This evening we can expect more rain, high humidity, and strong breezes. The winds will be from the SE at 22 mph / 36 km/h. Last night’s low was 75°F / 24°C. Tonight’s low is anticipated to be about 75°F / 24°C.

Yesterday was overcast and rainy. There were showers in the am with a break during the midday hours and then heavy showers with thunder returned late afternoon and continued off and on during the evening. The daily high temperature was 91°F / 33°C. The highest sustained winds were out of the ENE at 16 mph / 26 km/h.

It is now 7:00 am. We had some light showers overnight and we have the Sun peeking through breaks in a moderate cloud cover. The temperature is 81°F / 27°C and rising. The wind is calm. Today, expect a mix of Sun and clouds with high humidity and the possibility of some showers. The high will be about 96°F / 36°C. The winds will be out of the ESE at 22 mph / 36 km/h. This evening we can expect cloudy conditions, high humidity, and spotty showers. The winds will be from the E at 15 mph / 25 km/h. Last night’s low was 79°F / 26°C. Tonight’s low is anticipated to be about 78°F / 26°C.

Yesterday was a rainy day, a result of the large bands of clouds associated with hurricane Dennis that stretched over the Caribbean from Venezuela to Hispaniola and Puerto Rico. There were showers throughout the morning with some letup over the midday hours. Some torrential showers were evident during late afternoon with the rain easing off as the evening progressed. The daily high temperature was 93°F / 34°C. The highest sustained winds were out of the E at 21 mph / 33 km/h.

me and my husband have not taken a vaction in 11 years this will be our first. I hope that this storm will not be a problem. i am worried not only because of the weather at punta cana but also the weather leaving miami. we are leaving on the 9th at 7.am. let's hope nothing goes wrong. and then i will be able to write something wonderfull about my experience at bavaro beach. wish us luck.
