Today we can expect Sunshine, variable cloudiness, and a chance of some brief showers. The daily high will be about 88°F / 31°C. The winds will be out of the E at 13 mph / 21 km/h. This evening we can expect it to be partly cloudy, humid, with a chance of a local shower. The winds will be from the E at 13 mph / 21 km/h. Last night’s low was 81°F / 27°C. Tonight’s low is anticipated to be about 80°F / 27°C.

PJT, thank you for shining a light on the daily weather updates.
It's really appreciated as me and my misses are coming to the Island this Monday for a16 day stay and frankly we were quite bummed out with the recent online forecasts that seemed pretty pessimistic.
Comparing the actual results you posted to what was desribed in the forecasts as of last week it's safe to say that they differ QUITE a bit to say the least.

The DR1 weather FAQ also provided down to earth knowledge and made sense which in a way took care of my worries.

I salute you and all others who keep us posted with the latest info !

The daily high will be about 88°F / 31°C. The winds will be out of the E at 13 mph / 21 km/h. This evening we can expect variable clouds with the chance of showers early in the evening. The winds will be from the E at 11 mph / 18 km/h. Last night’s low was 78°F / 26°C. Tonight’s low is anticipated to be about 78°F / 26°C.

Yesterday was a good day. It was humid with a mix of Sun and scattered clouds. Mid to late afternoon and into the evening the clouds did thicken and seemed to threaten rain at any time. Hi, I will be visiting Punta Cana next week. I'm a little concerned since it says 60% chance of showers every day. Any insight if this would indeed be the case? thank you!
