Just so everyone knows, for high season this year only I have officially requested that it only rain between 3 am and 5 am. That is the best I can do........LOL

Just came back from a week at the Holiday Village with my family (Dec 28-Jan 04) - the sunny and hot week!
That high pressure and lot s of sunshine appear to have arrived. We're watching the showers with that cold front - currently approaching Florida - which may reach you towards the end of this week. Stay tuned.

Good morning, today is overcast again. Oh man, I want the sunshine back. It looks to be breaking up off to the east, so my fingers are crossed. It is 80F and we have no breeze at all this morning.....
Kuhny - too bad I didn't know you were at Holiday Village, I would have enjoyed meeting you.
Have a great day.

Practically all the cloud is now stuck over Hispaniola. Offshore the satellite shows mostly clear with just isolated trade wind showers. Did you get some sun though in the afternoon??
The front now near Freeport Bahamas appears to be losing its push, and may not reach you now until early next week, if at all. So there is hope for more sun, and return to true warmth for you Planner!
I'm sure me and my family will be back - we enjoyed the DR immensely (was my second time myself).

Good morning again! Today looks to be mostly cloudy but I am working on those sunny breaks. It is 81F and we have a very light breeze.
Yesterday turned out to be quite a decent day. We did have rain here but much later in the evening. In fact, I went dancing last night and got wet as we left to come home at midnight.........
Thanks again Kuhny.....
Have a great day.

No problem planner! You should see more sun as the week progresses on, and hopefully the showers will become more confined to 2-8 AM, similar to what it was like when I was there!

Well good morning to everyone. We have a FANTASTIC day here in paradise. We have bright blue skies and not a cloud in sight. It is 83 F and no breeze at all. I for one need to find a pool to lounge by.....
We had a rainshower overnight - started about 5 am and was done before 6 am. Now that is when it should rain.
Kyhny - you are a good influence.... Chocolate for you.
Have a great day.

HI there, the evenings are a bit cooler. At least they are to those of us who live here. If we get rain it will tend to happen later in the day or evening hours. I advise bringing a light sweater / sweatshirt, an umbrella and good shoes that dont slip on wet floors. You should be good to go.............
