Good morning! Today - bright blue skies - hot - sunny - humid....

Yesterday was different. From early morning it was completely overcast, not a hint of a breeze - HOT and HUMID. IT was very tough. By mid afternoon we saw some sun, a bit of a breeze but it was damn humid. By late afternoon we finally got some rain. It amazes me how fast it cools things down when it rains. Then the rest of the evening was a bit rainy but much cooler.

Brice - I sure must be paying the right people then..... LOL For the record I am not the best person to talk about the weather here in the DR. That would be Chris. I like to think I am one of the best to talk to about the north coast. I am definately not the one to ask about Punta Cana!

I can tell you to stop reading the reports online from other sites. If there is a cloud in the sky anywhere over this island I swear they cover their butts by calling for rain! Check the weather forums here for on DR1 for updates on what is actually going on......

Have a great day!

Well the clouds rolled in - dark thunderous clouds, the thunder and lightening started and the rain followed.

It is raining hard here right now - yeah - we need it...... But dont' worry this will quickly pass.

It looks like my post from yesterday went into computer heaven. I think the problem was on this end.....

WE had some more rain yesterday but only in the late afternoon.

Today we have mostly blue skies, just a few clouds around. IT is hot and humid... Don't worry Brice there will be lots of good weather.

Have a great day.

I just read that November starts the rainy season along the North Coast. I am so bummed out! My daughters and I will be coming to Puerto Plata the week of Nov 17 through the 24th. This is our first "girls" vacation together. Should I leave the swimsuits back in the states and pack the umbrellas instead or is there hope that we may catch a few rays? Thanks for your input. Paula

Good morning - well it kind of looks like fall weather here.....LOL Canadian fall weather.... except when you walk out the door and the heat and humidity hit you.

WE have grey skies - overcast - rainy drizzly weather. Except it is - about 84 F right now and very humid. And of course it will get hotter as the day rolls on - up to about 90 F today..... More rain later too I expect. Before anyone complains - we need the rain. It will clear up so don't worry all you vacation people.....

Have a great day.

We got more rain yesterday and overnight. Today it is trying to clear and I think we will have a decent day. IT is hot and humid with almost no breeze at all. We have some cloud cover but also patches of bright blue sky!

Paula - bring your bathing suits but don't forget - mosquitto repellant with at least 22% DEET, a compact umbrella, good shoes for walking on wet tile floors and LOTS of sunscreen........... likely you will need them all.....

Have a great day.

Good morning - well we have had a complete mixed bag of weather over the weekend. We had lots of sunshine, some clouds, some rain, some wind....... BUT no cold wind, no hail, no snow, no ice....

We have nothing to complain about.....

Today - mostly sunny skies - 84 F but feels hotter, humid with a light breeze. It might cloud up later on today.

To all the Canadians who read this - Happy Thanksgiving! Enjoy your day.
I will be heading to Sam's for Thanksgiving dinner later on.

Have a great day.
