Good afternoon - another mostly nice day in paradise. Strange today - sunny skies one minutes clouds and a quick shower the next. But it is hot 87F and humid with a nice breeze.

Have a great day.

Today is beautiful - some clouds, some sun, nice breeze, doesn't look like it will rain.

Have a great day.

We have a strange day today. We have a nice breeze cooling things down but it is humid and overcast. It feels like a storm is brewing!

Have a great day.

Good morning, another nice day in paradise. It is sunny, 87F already with a nice breeze.

Yesterday was also stunning and I managed to get some time by a pool......

We seem to have fallen into a general pattern - pretty normal for this time of year if a bit hotter - sunny days, cloud buildup later in the day and a chance of shower. Evening are just a touch cooler.

Have a great day.

Default Puerto Plata/Sousa Weather

Good Morning all!

I am coming to D.R. next week form cold canada and all I see on the different weather sites is rain, rain, rain. Is it really raining that much there or are these just generic forecasts?

If it is possible to get rain anywhere near here, the other "sites" will call for rain. This time of year it is likely we will see a shower 2 or 3 times a week. Often they are short and sweet, cool things down, clean things up. Occasionally we will get some real rain..... Don't worry it will still be nicer then back home....

Ya! I am so looking forward to my trip to Sousa...and yes you are right, we figured even if it did rain, it was still better than being here

My sister just got back from her first visit to the DR.
Before she left me she called me so disappointed that
the weather reports for her time there were showing rain
everyday. Well, she got back on Tuesday and reported
that it didn't rain at all and she had worried for nothing.
My advice would be to read planner's reports (Thanks for the updates Planner!) and take a break from checking the weathersites.

Puerto Plata, up in the mountains.....Sunny, breezy, temp.28 C. in the shade (82 F.).
Everything is lush after this weekends down pours.

Vacationers, before you get excited over the National weather reports, first look here at planners posts.
This is the time of year, that most, if not all extended forecast's will call for thunderstorms and/ or rain. Does not necessarily mean that the reality here, on the land is all rain.
As alway's plan accordingly and bring a long sleeved shirt/ pants. It could get/ seem a bit chilly at night after a hot day in the sun.
Enjoy!

Good morning. We have now had 3 days in a row - beautiful, hot and sunny - no rain. That was after 3 days of rainy conditions.

Right now there is not a cloud in sight, it is 88F and we have a nice breeze.

Have a great day.
