Good morning, Saturday we had another stunning day. About midnight we got a quick rainshower which helped lower the temperature just a bit.

Sunday - Mothers Day - started cloudy, then the sun came out, then the clouds returned with a shower in mid afternoon, then the sun returned and it was hot and humid. By evening it was overcast but we didn't get any rain. What a mixed bag!!!!

Today we are partly sunny, HOT and HUMID and it feels like it will rain later on today. We need the rain so it is welcome....

Good morning - another beautiful sunny, hot morning....

I was right - the rains showed up late yesterday afternoon. Oh my goodness - thunder, lightening and torrential rain. The temperature dropped about 10 degrees and it was so nice after the rain stopped!

I don't think we will see more rain today but you never know.....

Another very nice day here in Puerto Plata. It is very very hot and humid with a light breeze. We have cloud buildup to the east and we could see a thundershower later on.

Hi!

I'm finally going on a holiday again and guess where? Puerto Plata, Bahia de Maimon.

But I was checking out the weather forecasts and those didn't make me that happy.
Actually they got me a bit worried.

:

It forecasts rain, showers, storm, thunder etc.

Any ideas on this?
I will be arriving on the 8th of June, and I'm coming all the way from Holland to see some sunshine, as we have rain every day all day already.
So can someone make me happy? By telling me that we will have sun during our holiday?

Well we are mostly overcast but have escaped the heavy rain (so far) that was forecast. Just goes to show you that often the weathercasts are WRONG....

It is very hot and humid and we may see a shower later... you never know.

Again - please do not pay a lot of attention to the long term forecasts. IF there may be rain somewhere even close to here they will call for rain. I think it is the cover thy butt mentality.... I am not sure.....

Good afternoon. We have had 3 days of nice weather. It is hot, sunny, humid but breezy during the day. By late afternoon we have clouds develope with the threat of a storm - but so far - no real rain.

We could use some rain soon though.

Good morning, it is hot, humid and sunny with a nice breeze. Yesterday we had clouds roll in late afternoon and we had a nice shower - lasted about 30 minutes.

I will not be posting the weather tomorrow, I am off for the day.

Good morning. today we are overcast but it looks like the sun will burn off this cloud cover. It is very HOT and HUMID with almost no breeze.

I am sitting in the restaurant at Playa Dorada Golf Course enjoying the view this morning. Did you know the restaurant has fabulous food at a good price????

Yesterday was rainy off an on most of the day. About 1pm we had a tremendous downpour that cleaned all the dust off the streets etc.

Good morning, we have overcast conditions this morning, but it is hot and humid again. It was similar yesterday and we did get some rain.

Once it rains, things seem to cool off a bit then the heat starts to build again.... But if you are near the ocean there seems to almost always be a nice breeze.
