Hi
Can someone please tell me if for the last couple of nights through to the morning there has been power failures? I have been trying to contact my friend in puerto plata who lives near the brugal factory and there is no answer on her landine(it is a cordless phone so uses electricity). Sorry if I am in the wrong blog.

Anna

It was interesting the power would come on for 2 minutes and go back out. It did come on part way thru the night for couple hours - I guess that is enough time to charge the inversor. Now we have no electricity - its been out a couple of hours again.

Those bugs can get in the smallest crack! I remember my first experience with them - tropical storm 4 years ago this month. I had a million of the little buggers. They die almost immediately but what a mess.

Yes it looks like the DR has been spared the worst of this storm. I feel so sorry for those that have not been spared!

nothing to get worried Anna.
amount of rain and wind the last night been absolutely nothing out of the ordinary this time of the year, and who stays home for some drinks and movies like everybody with a sane brain should do, nothing will happen.
this morning and still not fixed we have trouble with the Orange phones.
i have an other provider, but tried several times to reach the orange cell of my wifey to let her know that the 2nd Boss will not be home as soon as awaited. that means nothing bad. the lines of that provider are dead for a while, i tried orange numbers of other friends and they are not working neither, she's sure with our boy on the beach, i am up at Steve's.
life is a beatiful Bi..

still don't get the phone of the wife, but he.., women.!.
been on the cell with a friend who has a orange, been just fine,on the other side he is not in the same area than the wife should be, it is mostly very local, som eletricity problems where a tower is located and yeap, for a while no service.
that's nothing unusual.
not to reach a landline could have the simple reason that nobody is at home, they are down on the beach and enjoy life.
the way it should be
Mike
from since 11AM permanent sunny skies and still available cold beers
