Thanks for the weather update.

I am taking a short vacation in Puerta Plata on the Memorial Day weekend and I had heard that it was raining heavily on the North Coast.

Actually right now we have a heavier wind and a blue sky!

Over the mountain it still looks grey though..

Good morning from Puerto Plata!

Seems to be another great day, very simular to the last few days.

A little more wind today, compared to yesterday, but just enough to make you feel good.
Blue sky, plenty of light clouds.
A little more grey up on the mountainside.

It is not a beachday, but leave your umbrellas at home at least for now.
There might be a chance for a shower or two later on today in the afternoon, but again, I would think no heavy rain.

Thanks for filling in Carina! Great job.

I just had 4 days on the south coast and it was no better then here. Except of course this morning - the sun came out. I couldn't enjoy it, I was driving to Puerto Plata.

Currently it is overcast but not looking threatening. We have a light breeze, it is hot and a little humid.

Hello again. We have an almost beautiful day - depending on your definitions. We have some high cloud but the sun does break through. Be careful as it is a good day to get sun burned! There is almost no breeze at all and it is hot and humid.

I am off to go find a pool or a beach for a couple hours of relaxation!

Another almost beautiful day! We have some sunny breaks, big fat fluffy clouds and it is hot and humid. I expect we will see rain later on tonight.

Last night we had some rain and a big thunderstorm! I sat out on my balcony and watched the lightening off in the distance and listened to the thunder roll across......

we have been going to the DR for 30 years since i went to med school in SPM
in 1976. new to the forums here.
we will be in SOSUA sunday
we are worried about the rain...

Good morning, it if fabulous here today. We have sunshine! I can see the whole sky and it is actually blue still. Maybe it had changed colour - you never know it seemed like so long since I had seen the whole thing...

It is hot, humid and slightly breezy. I don't think we are completely out of the bad weather though, still come prepared.

Losackmud - Yes I live here year round. No I am not Dominican born. Glad you still like to come back. Be prepared for some rain!

Why do I report? Well Robert pays us huge amounts of tax free cash to do this job every day. We love him so much because he is never late with his wire transfers of money. As everyone knows he is very wealthy and loves to share his money.

Seriously, I do it because I like to and I can. For me it is part of giving back to the community, helping tourists, helping those who want to move here and developing a network of friends and associates.....

Hello there. Today is bright and sunny, hot, somewhat humid with a light breeze.

We have clouds off to the east of us and I will expect a thunderstorm later today!

Yesterday stayed fairly nice until late afternoon when the clouds rolled in but we didnt' get rain! Woooo hoooo.

Hello there, today is a holiday here in the Dominican Republic, I"m not exactly sure what it is but will find out.

Yesterday was a beautiful day. I spent it on a catamaran and have the tan lines to prove it. The sun stayed out till late afternoon and then a thunderstorm rolled in. I didnt' actually get caught in it other then a few drops of rain. But someone got very wet.

Today is a beautiful day, sunny, hot, with a light breeze! There are some big fluffy clouds to the east of us but they don't look threatening!
