Right now, at 9 a.m. we have about 28 degrees C, a very light SE breeze
and some sun along with patchy clouds.

Last evening, and the night as well, have been calm, almost no wind and no rain at all.
I think we can expect a cloudy day, but hopefully with no rain today.

Hello to everyone in DR. I am coming over for a 2 week stay in just over a weeks time, have just heard about the recent near miss from "Dennis" - are you experiencing weather worse than normal because of this? We were kinda hoping for hot weather to turn our pasty white skins a nice shade of brown!! Any body willing to help a hopeless tourist from England? Many thanks, Jean

Hello from Puerto Plata!

We have a hot, humid day here. About 33 degrees celcius already and a ESE wind, very light.
Some clouds, but mostly a blue sky so far.

Sunrise today 6.25 a.m.
Sunset today 7.25 p.m.

Probably, as the hours goes, there is a chance for more cloudes today, but I don´t think there is any rain to be expected.

Good morning from Puerto Plata.

Another beautiful day, blue sky, light SE wind, and 29 degrees celcius at this hour ( 8.40 a.m ).
Some clouds, but very few.
Probably the same scene as yesterday, with a few more clouds coming together in the afternoon, but I would guess no rain at all.

Sunrise 6.11 a.m.
Sunset 7.26 p.m.

I think Planner is coming back to Puerto Plata later today, so let´s keep the lovely weather to welcome her back home.

Good morning, we have another beautiful day unfolding here on the north coast of the country!

It is over 30 degrees celcius, slightly humid (meaning your hair does not frizz immediately on leaving the apartment) and we have a nice breeze. There are a few clouds off to the east but they are very high and not threatening! It is a beach day!

Good morning. Today is stunning. It is over 32 degrees already, humid and with just barely a breeze. From my balcony this morning it looked like a haze over the ocean, I think that was the heat!

I had breakfast out this morning and as I returned to my office I drove along the Malecon in Puerto Plata. The ocean is dead calm! It was really beautiful.

It is a fabulous day, so, I will head to Cabarete this afternoon! Hopefully the winds will pick up and I will get to watch some beautiful male bodies on those wind surfers... OF course I am watching their technique.....

Hello again. YEsterday afternoon was overcast and we saw little sprinkles of rain until early evening. By 6 pm we had thunder and lightening and a small shower but no real amount of rain. Rats, this means I will actually have to wash my car, I needed rain to clean it off.

Today is hot (32 ) and humid. It is currently sunny with a very light breeze. There are lots of clouds to the east of us and I am expecting it will rain later today. I will give you an update later on.
