Well Carina, since you asked so nicely and promised to bribe me later, I did turn up the breeze today for you....

It has been a beautiful hot day here in paradise. But we have a nice breeze and it helps make it bearable..... I hope I spelled that correctly.....

Today I was out all day checking out the property for a new tourist excursion! Stunning is the only word I can use. I will post more about it in my blog....

Last evening was very hot and very still, there was no breeze. Tonight should be better Carina.

I checked on weather.com and they show that it is going to rain all week long......
Is this true??

I am hoping they are wrong - can anyone let me know if they heard something different.

The storms rolled in later yesterday afternoon and it poured rain last night. This mornign we still have clouds, some rain, a little thunder but it looks to be clearing off to the east.

ejblove - at the risk of repeating myself, DO not pay much attention to the generalized weather forecasts! This island is very diverse. The weather for Santo DOmingo can be very different then the weather in Puerto Plata. If you want great weather, bring me chocolate and I will arrange it for you.

Do expect some showers while you are here but you will most likely get plenty of sunshine too.

Wow, how can it already be August??? Time flies when you are having all this fun.

Yesterday was nice day right up until about 4:30, then the thunderstorms rolled in. I was sitting under a pallapa on Playa Dorada and we watched it roll in. Shortly after, it rained a little where we were. BUT, I am told it poured in areas close by.. that is how it works here. Pouring where you are, 1 mile away hardly any rain at all where I am...

Today it is 28 degrees, hot and humid but with a bit of a breeze. the clouds are off to the east and coming this way, I expect we might get another thunder storm later on.

the rumblings of thunder have arrived in the Puerto Plata area!!!! Rain will follow I am sure. We have some pretty dark ugly looking clouds out there.

Good morning. Well yesterday I was only partly right... we had thunder and ugly clouds but we didn't actually get rain where I am.... go figure...

Today is perfect! It is hot and sunny, not a cloud in the sky and not a bit of breeze..... Later on I bet the breeze will increase to cool things off just a bit.

Only bad part: I am stuck in my office..... Oh well....

Good morning again. Yesterday we had lots and lots of lightening well into the night. It was too dark to see if there were a lot of clouds....LOL just kidding..... We did not get rain but it felt like we should have.

Today is bright and clear again. It was 28 degrees when I left my apartment at 7:30 this morning. It is humid and we have absolutely no breeze at all. There are no clouds but to the east is like a haze....... I think this means hot and humid for the day with clouds building later on and a possibility of a thunderstorm later.....

I am off for some R&R later so it is likely to rain....LOL

Another beautiful day in paradise! It is hot, sunny, humid and we have a very light breeze. There are no clouds off to the east currently but the usual pattern is that they build over the afternoon.

We had a very nice but hot night last night as well. The clouds built up but it didn't actually rain...

Well today is just like yesterday. Same temperature, stunning skies and no breeze. It is humid!

We had no real build up of clouds yesterday at all. Maybe today?? It was very humid last night. We went out to go do some dancing and every local club was very quiet. Too hot and humid for dancing, we had to go to a tourist club where they have air conditioning...

Paddy - a girl does what she can. BUt as I have said before, bribes will make sure you get good weather. I prefer chocolate..... no forget that, I'm watching what I eat, not enough dancing lately....
