We have a cloudy morning here in Puerto Plata, and the temperature is colder than usual, 25/77 degrees right now.
It is very humid, and a very, very calm breeze.

Sunrise was at 6.35 a.m. and the UV index is still very high, about 7.

Have a great day!

Good day from a rainy Puerto Plata.
We have had rain and thunder since late last evening, and all thru the night.

Right now, at 10.30 a.m. the sky is grey and the rain continues.
We have a light breeze, and 25/77 degrees.

Very low UV index, about 1.

I think we we can expect the day to continue with showers and a grey sky.

Good morning from Puerto Plata.

Today is a little brighter than yesterday, but we still have a grey sky and it is slightly colder than last week.
Right now we have 72 degrees and alots of fog.
No breeze at all.
It has been raining during the night.

Sunrise today, at 6.36 a.m. and the UV index is about 4.

I think we will have to expect a grey day, and most surely some rain later on.

Have a good day!

My time off is over! I am back. So, it does not pay to vacation when I do! Sheeesh we had a weekend of rain. I will have to bribe myself next time....LOL

Yesterday was very typical for October. It was hot and sunny until mid to late afternoon then the clouds rolled in and we had some thundershowers. Then it cleared again .

Today was a little cloudier and we have had rain for about the last hour. It is now just after 6.

Have a great day!

Hi!

I'm new on this forum :-) I'm from Belgium and am planning to travel to Puerto Plata for 2 weeks (should be as from the 29th of October)...

I'm checking the weather on-line (with satellite pictures...) each day but it doesn't seem to get better so I'm a bit afraid to book my travel right now :-(

Thank you for keeping updating the weather bulletin :-) and also by letting us now how the weather is each day (not only previsions).

Have all a nice day!!!
Do you think that it will be ok at the beginning of November?

Good morning, its a nice day here in Puerto Plata. We have blue skies and it is hot and humid. We have no breeze to speak of.

There are some high clouds off to the east. As normal for this time of year I expect it will cloud up and we could see a shower later today.

Have a great day!

Default Dear Mamita71

Okay, since you are new here, I will be kind to you... first welcome. We are glad you are using DR1 to help you plan your holidays.

Please go back and read some previous posts to other people like yourself. I've answered these types of questions before.

We cannot predict the weather for your vacation! I can tell you it will be sunny, it will most likely rain, it will be hot. Heck I can guarantee it will be better then where you are coming from!!!! So, relax, book your holiday, come on over and have some fun!

For other information, search the other threads!

Have a great day .... wherever you are.

Thanks!

I understand that you cannot tell me how the weather will be in 2 weeks even in 2 or 3 days. I'm just looking for a day-to-day report so I can check if you have at least a few hours sun per day... I need SUN (+ merengue, bachata and salsa), that's all!!!

I've been living (and working) in Sosua a few years ago so I know quite well this place. I also remember that from October '99 till December the weather was really bad... So I really don't want to experience the same this year

Thanks for your help, planner!

Good morning and what a lovely morning it is! We have bright blue skies today with some fluffy white clouds off to the east. It was 28 C (82F ) when I left my apartment this morning. It is humid out and there is no breeze at all.

Late yesterday afternoon we got some thunderstorms but nothing major.

Have a great day.
