Looks like another beautiful day! We have more blue sky then clouds, it is 87F, humid and just a very light breeze. Seeing it is Sunday I will go spend a coupld of hours either by the pool or on the beach. Possibly later this afternoon more clouds will roll in and bring a rain shower..........

Another beautiful day here on the North Coast. The skies are bright blue, not a cloud in sight. It is 85 F already and we have a very light breeze.

We got cloud build up yesterday afternoon and about 12 rain drops! Further west I think they might have got some real rain.

No more blue sky - it is black! We have a storm coming - thunder & lightening right now. I am sure the rain is not far behind!

We are starting out with another stunning day, bright blue skies, hot, somewhat humid but a bit of a breeze. YEsterday we did get some rain about 7 pm but not all that much. That storms bark was worse then it's bite....

Once again we have these bright blue skies early in the day. It is 84 F, humid and there is almost no breeze. Our pattern though is for the clouds to build up in the afternoons and some days we get a rainstorm. YEsterday we had thunder, lightening and rain.

We have a break from the pattern today. Let's start with yesterday - the clouds rolled in we got thunder lightening and rain. Then we got some more rain, more thunder etc. Over night it continued. This morning we have completely overcast skies, intermittent rain and I expect more thunder and lightening at any time. It's an umbrella and Crocs day!

By the way, Crocs are fabulous rainy weather footwear! They do not slip on wet tile floors which makes them amazing. Bring a pair on vacation as they take up little room, are washable and so light they won't put your luggage overweight. I've seen many tourists already wearing these in a wide range of colours....

This is not an umbrella day - this is a day for hip waders!!! or ducks!!! It started raining yesterday and it has not stopped. We have had torrential rains over night and continuing this morning. It is completely overcast, thunder, lightening and heavy rains interspersed with really heavy rains. Pueto Plata is a port city built on an incline. I am sure the streets closest to the ocean are like rivers.

If you are a tourist today is a great day to stay indoors, watch TV or whatever. If you live here, drive with extreme caution! The rain hides all the craters in the roads!

We have had a resurgence in road work over the last week. There are new holes everywhere and ditches have been dug, obstructions wherever........ be careful.

Well today I woke to sunshine - yeah. It is very hot and humid today with a nice breeze. I say get out there and enjoy the sun while it is here, there are clouds off to the east and they are headed our way.

We had rain almost all day yesterday. By late evening it had slowed down to rain showers on a regular basis and sometime overnight it cleared. I don't know how much rain we got but I cannot remember seeing that much water in 24 hours before.

For now I have taken off my rain boots but the umbrella is still handy.

Another morning with sunshine. WE have a few scattered clouds and my guess is it will cloud up more as the day progresses. I am equiped with my sun screen, hat, towel and book and I am off to breakfast and the pool!

Good morning! Well it seems we are back to our good weather again. Thank goodness! The rain last week was unreal.

Today we have bright blue skies, just a few fluffy white clouds, over 87F already, a light breeze and mid range humidity! It's a beautiful day.

We had a few more clouds yesterday afternoon but no rain or problems.
