Thanks for your enquiry. I can tell you that this year we had an absolutely amazing September!

Hurricane Season runs from June 1st to Nov 30th. September can be a busy month or it can be like this year - no problems at all.

World weather patterns have been changing and this is no exception. For example - the last 3 years November has been very very wet. One year we got rain every single day in November. This year we are facing drought conditions.

September will be hot and humid, most likely you will see some late afternoon or early evening rain. Most likely you will also see lots and lots of sun.

On the north coast of this country we have not seen a hurricane in over 80 years. We have had tropical storms but not many.

In my opinion you are pretty safe to have your wedding in September.

truthfully your friends are right. this was a El Nino year which kept hurricane activity way down to almost nothing. noone can predict next year though.

Good morning, well we have a bit of a change in the weather today. We have clouds, yes folks those white things up in the sky. They are not threatening looking and the sun is trying to break through. It is hot and humid today and no breeze at all.

We did get a quick shower early last night. It helped a bit but we do need some rain.

CLOWE - there are two ways to guarantee good weather for your wedding
1. Invite the weather girl
2. Bring her chocolate.

Good morning, we have great weather again today. We have blue skies with just a few clouds, it is 85F and there is no breeze at all! It is a great day for the beach, a pool OR to go to Rocky's and eat copious amounts of turkey!

CLOWE - don't worry I will do my best for you on the weather. Don't bring a suitcase of chocolate though or the Weather Girl will become the Weather GLOB................ Just one bar and fill the rest of the case with school supplies.

Another beautiful day here in Puerto Plata. We have blue skies with a few high clouds (nothing threatening) a very light breeze and it is hot already!

Since it is my friend's "29th" birthday we are going for brunch at Field of Dreams. She wants to have a birthday drink in the pool served by a good looking man with no shirt!

Hi again, we have a change in the weather. It started out sunny and hot and now we are clouded over. I expect rain before the end of the day.

Saturday was nice until early evening and it POURED rain for over 2 hours. We were at Ocean World Casino and the rain was unbelievable.

Unfortunately for the Merengue Festival they were rained out last night. I am crossing my fingers it is okay for tonight.

Good morning. Let's start with today and then I will tell you about yesterday.

WE have partly cloudy skies today and it is hot and humid. There is no breeze at all! While the clouds don't look threatening, I would not be surprised to see rain later on today.

YEsterday started out nice but the rains arrived about 6pm. Wow, did it rain! It was torrential for about an hour, lesssened then came back with a vengeance. The Merengue Festival was a washout and this was the night I was looking forward to. Oh well, maybe next time.
