Playa Dorada/ Paradise Beach Hotel

If anyone can tell me how this area and hotel made it thru the hurricane I would greatly appreciate it. Leaving next Friday. It was a last minute trip so I didn't purchase travel insurance now I'm sorry that I didn't! I can make the best of a bad situtation. I just want to know if there was any major damage to the Playa Dorada complex and The Paradise Beach Resort and Casino. Thanks

I would think they could handle a category 1 but why not just give them a call?

Spoke to my daughter a few really big trees down but other than that they are fine

DOn't worry they are just fine. Lots of trees down and branches down but nothing major. The weather will improve starting tomorrow and we will be back in business....
