Default driving to Bayahibe

I am thinking about going to Bayahibe this weekend (Oct. 22) and wonder about getting there. Is there still a 2-3 hour wait for the ferry?

Nope. A causeway was installed and vehicle traffic flows across Chavon River. See http://www.dr1.com news for 18 October 2004.
