Default Hurricane patterns

I am noticing here a new pattern for hurricanes. For instance, we are seeing how the trend is for hurricanes to move more to the west and to the north. Florida one year, and now two years in a row with very bad hurricanes hitting Mexico. Wilma last year and now Category 4 John hitting the west coast of Mexico.

Makes me wonder if the people in Puerto Plata should take hurricanes serious. They can hardly remember a big one, but given this trend, I believe they should prepare.

And probably New York could be in for a big one too, as hurricanes move more to the north. Just wondering...

I dont think you can compare Pacific Hurricane patterns with Atlantic ones, as they are driven by different weather and water patterns like currents & temperatures and upper level systems. If you leave out the mention of the Pacific hurricanes maybe you are unto something.
