Puerto Plata - mozzies

We were pleasantly surprised to find hardly any mozzies at all when we last visited in May this year. Should we expect a different scene when we come back at the end of September ? Hopefuly the winds will still be blowing them away !

YOu will find the mosquitos are here. Bring Mosquito repellent with high (over 22%) DEET. This is what I have found works for me. We've been pretty dry lately but that can change quickly and then the little buggers are everywhere. Yes the breeze really helps but not totally. Bring the spray, do not count on buying it here. The stuff they sell here is mostly lower DEET content and very expensive.
