Whats the weather like in Bayahibe? Better yet, which region is it in exactly? Punta cana?

Also, any hurricanes blowing in at the moment? The guys at work have been driving me crazy whurling their fingers around and making wooshing sounds .......

Still, whatever the weather i can't wait to get to the DR now...3days

Weather is good.
B. is southeast of La Romana, quite a bit from PC.
No hurricanes in sight (here).

Read the current weather forecasts. Those are the best on the web on the Dominican Republic. Check for DR1 forecasts that focus on what the actual weather is, not the forecast. Weather in Bayahibe is dryer than weather in Santo Domingo, more like Punta Cana.
