Default Earthquakes

I find it unbelievable that the post on the reported forthcoming major earthquake in Canada has been closed because it is not DR related??!! yet the post on the tornedo in Florida continues.

The moderator is wrong, this affects both people in Canada but especially many many people here in the DR and it is important that we keep in touch with important events like this. Some people that live here need to make arrangements should this be about to happen. I ask you to reconsider Keith.

A little while ago I couldnt believe the dreadful feeling I had when we had the small tremors here. If that was small I dread to think what a bigger one would be like. I didnt know what it was at first. It started with a feeling that someone was pushing my chair from behind than the vibes started.

Thank you Anna as usual your info is efficient and speedy, but thats why you are the best moderator. I just hope you and others are ok if anything should occur. Are you allowed to keep us updated about this should anything happen?

I see no discrimination here, since the Florida tornado thread is DR related (asking the status of Dominicans residents in the dissaster zone...). Also, your thread may cause unnecessary alarm, since within the present state of scientific knowledge, it is not possible to predict earthquakes, much less not to specify in advance their exact date, time and location.

By the way, I'm in the process of developing an earthquake alarm system, based on a patent pending genetically engineered catfish species, bred to detect changes in the earth's electromagnetic field (which are known to antecede actual earthquakes). The catfish earthquake behavior is picked up by a movement sensor, connected to a device programmed using a patent pending algorithm of my own design, that sets off an alarm before a major earthquake, giving the user between half an hour and three days before the actual event occurrence. I need some venture capital (partners) to finish the contraption and cover all legal patenting costs. Are you interested?

If there's a big one and some of DR1ers are missing I'm sure Robert will let us post about it.

Nothing has happened yet so let's pray it doesn't

The moderator is never wrong. I have not seen evidence of an earthquake about to happen. I'd also like to see it before it happens.

If anyone wants to talk about earthquakes, please open a thread to talk about DR earthquakes.

This post is closed. Mirador, you're funny!
