Weather In May

Hi I am coming to the DR in May and was wondering what the weather is usually like. I know it's rainy season there starting in April and goes till November or something close to that. I have never been to the DR any other time than January. So basically I was just wondering if it is a bad time to be there or not. Mostly rain all the time or what kind of feed back can you offer?

There doesn't seem to be a lot of consistancy to the weather the last few years. Heck March is normally pretty dry - this year it's incredibly wet.

I can tell you the last coulple of years, May was not too bad. But it is anyone's guess.
