Default traveling to Punta Cana

Hi, first my thoughts and prayers go out to all of you and your families. We are set to leave Thurs to go to Punta Cana to the Iberostar Bavarro. Are the roads still working and do you think it is safe to come? Thanks for any input

I´m in Las Galeras, and trying to get to Santo Domingo by Thursday by car. Anyone know the state of the roads and whether Í´d be better off leaving today or tomorrow? By the way, despite being gray and rainy, the Samana peninsula has been relatively free of harm.
