This is very discouraging and probably one of the real negatives of living here, the open corruption and lack of accountability. At least in other countries, even if in the end they don't find negligence, even the mere appearance of such in a public position is enough to have heads on the chopping block. This is necessary for the politicians to fear literally for the political life.
While it is very encouraging to see so many people up in arms about this unecessary tragedy, it speaks volumes that the sad reality that nothing will be done to bring the numnut politicians to justice. IMO, this is because of the disparing difference between the highly educated few who know what the politicians are really up to and the majority of the population, who are easily deceived by someone in a position of power.
