Default Costa Dorada - Iberostar

Hi guys,

Hope everyone is well. I have a holiday booked to the Iberostar in Costa Dorada from the 27th September till the 13th October. Just wondering if the hurricanes had effected this area and if it looks like there will be more bad weather to come while I'm there?

Booked the holiday a while ago and now starting to get a bit worried!

Thanks

tro127

I live within a five minute drive of Costa Dorada & had NO problem with the latest hurricane (Ike). I went past Iberostar yesterday on the way to the Golf Tournament posted elsewhere on this forum - as far as I could see there was no Tidal Wave happening in the swimming pool at that time !!

Re future hurricanes between now & October ............. who knows for certain? I suspect there may be a couple or three in the Atlantic over the next few weeks but as they have not formed yet & have not indicated their proposed direction/passage/level of nastiness, it is impossible to put your mind at rest. May I suggest a close eye (if you will excuse the pun) be kept on 'The Weather Forum' where we will post about any 'weather disturbance' headed the way of the DR?

Thanks BushBaby, much appreciated. Found this site this morning so will keep a lookout for any news from over your way.

Out of interest, as you live so close, do you know much about the Iberostar?

Post your questions (in the North Coast Travel Forum) - chances are that one of us who's stayed there can help.

I wasn't looking for 'bics & Tea bags' as some plonker bought me a lot last time he was here ........ but that Mike Hammer Gold Lame suit you wore to the shops could be useful in generating extra discounts at all the BOOZE stores you normally want to visit. The Girls at those stores still talk of it even now!!! ~ Grahame.

Default Weather in May in Costa Dorado

We are thinking of visiting the Iberostar Costa Dorada in May next year can you tell me what the weather is like then and if the sea is cold. We were in Bavaro a few years ago which was beautiful but this hotel seems to get good reviews - would you agree.
