o.k.,
back online after big trouble with my computers.
nothing remarcable happened with the weather since my update last sunday.
we had some clouds yesterday morning, mostly sunny, no rain nowhere in PC.
today the sun been out at full power early on,
8AM 86F/30C
no clouds in vicinity
wind is dead
comfortable humidity in the low 70īs, that will climb
inshore and far offshore waters are completely flat.
a perfect day for a fast and strong caribbean vaca Tan.
have fun
Mike

an other sunny day in Paradise.
we run highest 80īs today, mostly full sun out,
after 3PM some clouds mixed in, no rain the whole day.
wind is a low breeze from itīs usual east.
cloud formations over the shore promise a soon change in wind direction,
i expect it to come from the ENE tomorrow as a light breeze, because we do not have bad weather nearby there, so that will last 24hrs and be back from the usual east.
during this weekend i expect the usual run with the sun and some partly moving by clouds, we will not get real rain, a max would be short showers, IF it rains.
by around mid next week we will feel some minor effects from the big disturbance over the lesser antilles, watched since a couple of days together with a smaller one in the southern caribbean and a formation over west africa.
nothing on itīs way towards Punta Cana.
by mid next week our wind will switch to be a light breeze max 8 knots(more likely less) from the south east as long as the disturbance moves by on itīs westwards track in the caribbean Sea.
all 3 disturbances are under heaviest windshears and very unfavorable conditions for development for the next 2-3 days, so i donīt expect to get a īnumberīor īnameīon the screens over the weekend.
next week the windshear over the caribbean Sea will go down a lot, water temps are very high, so then a development for both disturbances(one in the western caribbean by that time, the one actually over the lesser antilles will be south of our island in the central caribbean by that time) is very possible and we may get TD or TS Kyle on the screens, but it depends how good or bad they survive their actual counterproductive conditions during the next days.
the track between Cape Verde and the eastern caribbean is also expected to change itīs actually not - development- favorable - conditions towards lower windshears, so an Invest should be expected to show up somewhere halfway CV-Caribbean mid next week or shortly after.
by then we wouldīve had a break of a full week in TS activity,
not that bad for mid-end september i would say.
letīs get that Tan
cheers from beautiful caribbean beaches
Mike

o.k.,
thatīs fast,
the 9PM updates names the over the lesser antilles located disturbance 93L,
thunderstorm activities are on,
surrounding conditions of course still bad for fast development,
but it starts under such bad conditions,
this one needs to be watched.
letīs give it til tomorrow afternoon to catch some more accurate details.

a sunshine filled hot day,
again gighest 80's,
my instruments show lower humidity than the last days, less than 70%,
to me it feels more humid, maybe that's because of my yesterdays birthday bers, ha ha.
the computer models regulated the track of 93L to a wstwards one
and surrounding conditions will not allow a fast development,
maybe no development over all.
we will stay mostly sunny and dry over this wekend.
wind is a nearby nothing on the beach,
waters are super calm,
heck, it is september, somebody stole the waves this year.
our weather since many days would be a typical May-weather.
happy sunny weekend

saturday sept 20th 2008
we had some short showers during last night,
streets been dry on my early morning ride over to the Marina this morning.
we run today high 80's
sunny skies
very light breeze from the usual east
dark clouds far offshore to the ESE
i would say the wind will change to a SE direction and may bring some showers over night.
93L is located south of puerto rico,
no fast development and under high windshear throu the weekend.
it should be a TD by monday when wandering along or towards the SW coast of Hispaniola, actual track is NW, but that can change as soon as the system get's organized. it is not huge, but carries a lot of rain.
today we have a sunfilled perfect beach weather day
and hopefully 92L stays on a more western than NW track, so we would have the same for tomorrow.
happy weekend
Mike

typo in the prior post,
it is named 93L.
late eve update:
we got rain in 7:33PM,
lasted 17 minutes,
freshened the air a lot,
feels really good since then.
wind run a 12 knots and spun around from SE to NE and back.
actually it is wuiet with a 8 knots breeze,
it will go up and down all night ling and may stay for tomorrow.
looking forward to a sunny sunday

the rain is over Puerto Rico now.
here in PC we are still under sunny skies
10-12 knots breeze from the NE,
feels comfortable cool
low humidity
81F/27C 9:00AM this morning
sun out, but the clouds visible over the ocean.
during somewhere this afternoon and tonight we will get the effects of 93L in,
in form of some downpurs and a strong breeze 18-20knots, we will get choppy water conditions.
the disturbance is awaited to be TD Kyle during the next 24hrs,
it's NW course predictions show it throu the Mona Channel right in front of our door. it may even go staright north over puerto rico. such small systems can change their track very fast.
it is nothing big,
it is nothing dangerous.
it's danger is the rain which could cause mudslides and floodings in more vulnerable areas, but in case of Punta Cana it will be a couple days bad weather at max.
i will update the tracking in the afternoon.
gone for the beach

still nice weather over here.
we had some short showers during the afternoon, but without winds,
short ones, they felt like the beginning of a downpur,
but went by surprisingly fast.
the system seem to walk straight northwards,
i can see the dark clouds over the ocean,
but they are there and we are here, ha ha.
if it goes on like it is we mnay get few short showers over night or in the morning,
but as an average september day we are far below such,
much too quiet, too dry, too calm.
and i don't complain.
very most of the day been sunny skies with low-nothing winds.
the wind went down shortly after it started to increase today.
looks like we are looking forward to an oher new caribbean sunshine week.

o.k.,
so much to the sunshine week and the northwards track of the tropical wave 93L.
it pured heaviest rainfalls over puerto rico last night and still does.
we have rain coming on and out and on again in PC this morning,
we will get much more during today and tonight while the system is awaited to mover very slow over the island hispaniola.
it's development into a storm TD or TS is not predictable,
it is nearly stationery and will rain a lot.
expected max winds for this afternoon/tonight/tomorrow(when ever they arrive, it's slow movement makes such hard to predict) will be around 40mphr.
it's wind and specially rainforces are located on it's east SE/the end of it, so it will get roughest after the center passed.
how long that rain period lasts is unpredictable,
it moves too slow to say such.
actually PC is on 79F,
wind is changing from zero - 12/15 mphr up and down,
right now win is down and no rain falling,
it is completely cloudy,
the bad weather can be watched with your eyes over the ocean,
slowly moving in.
to predict the PC weather for the next days would be a lottery,
we are cloudy and rainy and nobody can forecast how fast or slow that will be over.

w are uner constant rain without remarkable winds since yesterday mid/later afternoon(southeast started earlier, the rest around 2hrs later).
it rained heavily the whole night long, i've been up til 4AM and i had to get up again 6:30AM.
the winds of 93 are not on hispaniola, they are located south of the mona channel in the caribbean sea.
we will get a full rainy tuesday and not start with a sunny wednesday here.
it depends if the system stays on it's track, so it would be over faster for PC, or follows the predicted computer models which bring it to a straight northwards course, in that case we would get on our southcoast strong winds and all over the island much more rain, would say an extra 24hrs added to the above expected.
