Luperon Weather Advice Required!

Hi All,

My name's Dawn & I'm from London, UK.

I've booked a 2 week holiday in Luperon (near Puerto Plata), and am flying out on 10th May 09.

I have been SO excited for months as British weather is the worst in the world & was SO looking forward to the sunshine - but have checked weather reports today & I'm most concerned about the amount of rain clouds I'm seeing

Can anybody tell me - when it rains does it last for very long? Will it just be quick showers so that I can still enjoy the sunshine or is this going to spoil my whole holiday??!!

Any help would be most appreciated!

You will have lots of sunshine in May. Rain showers tend to be late afternoon & evening - you'll have had plenty of time during the day to sunbathe to lobster coloured perfection . So, tell me about British weather - no need we left the UK over 16 years ago for Puerto Plata. If your handle indicates your year of birth watch out for other natural phenomena such as a plague of locusts AKA sankies . These can be far more annoying than the weather.
