Punta Cana Weather June 18-25, 2009? Rain?

We're going to Punta Cana along the Bavaro beach June 18th to 25th, 2009. I am seeing rain, rain and more rain on weather reports

Are these accurate for this week? Is this the intermittent type of rain where it would rain for 30min to 1 hour and then be sunny for the rest of the day, or is it continuous rain? (Hopefully the former)

Forget the internet weather forecasts, it rain in Bavaro this morning for a bit, first time in 3 weeks, they actually need rain.

Not sure what part of Bavaro you are in, but the part wher I live it has been raining on and off for the past two weeks.
