The appartement hotel is comfortable, friendly, good service but in need of some maintenance, things loose on walls.The food is good but a bit without variety for lunch and dinner, breakfast is fine. Make sure you do not book with the hotel direct but through an agency like Expedia, big price difference. Beware autopista splits into 2 some 23km to 7 km from San Pedro de Macoris, you must take that named Boulevard otherwise you could spend hours in a car trying to find Juan Dolio. Prices in the pool bar are very high, use the restaurant. The telephone, fax numbers are useless as they are all routed to Italy!! We would go again.
