|Pension Anneliese pffft
i worked in DR for a few months in the center of the island. the people were freindly and very poor. prior to coming back to europe i went to sosua to learn to dive, seeing Pension Anneliese i thought it would be a nice spot to stay at with its locked gates and rottweilers.
after a week i had to go to the doctor, sylvia kindly sent me to her doctors 15 mins away (omfg the docs is another story eeek) she called a taxi and off i went for the WHOLE DAY. when i got back some one had scaled the fence and cleard the 3"ft wide hedge surrounding the pension (without damaging it at all) climbed up onto the first floor and through what i seem to recall was a locked balcony door! after liberating me of a laptop ipod camera phone and anything else i had stashed away they left the balcony door open to let some air in the room ( they obviously knew i would be hot when i got back) and legged it! now the owners at first called me a lier and the drunk old bird who lives there had rather a lot to say in german. after they saw my reaction they calmed down and said its not worth calling the police and they are sorry but it is not there responsibility!!! now we all know the place is corrupt but they were not sympathetic in the least - not a peso off the price or i would not get my passport back.
i truly believe this was done by the owners - they are the only people who knew i had a laptop as they supplied wireless. if a dominican managed to get over the fence, past the dogs and into my room WHILE THE OWNERS WERE HOME! and all unseen then be aware you may face a similar experiance.
the rooms were not dirty nor were they overly clean - everything worked and you had water most of the time but if i knew that the 35 US was going to include robbery i would not of taken the room.
stay there at your own risk (much like hiring one of the cars the have)
People like this have absolutely no class, no morals, no manners, no conscionce, no dignity, but are only thieving greedy hogs.
What goes around comes around!

|the comments from andrew, was the bi..ch and great lady sylvia from the pension himself.
there faket every day and every night in much sites.
the family from the waterfront is very crazy and give a lot of trouble and stalking to their guests.
the cars in this pension iss to expensive and not checked.
you want to die?
you have a good chance:
than rent a car by viajerentcar.
looking for this:
you go to this station?
take a lot of things from germany to sylvia.
and take a lot of alcoholica into this vacation.
drink much of them and take a party.
than you forget the smell from the pension.
to taken putas in the pension iss no problem.
dogs in the kitchen.

|I dont understand the bad comments from GARY or SUSA because I had a very nice time in this hotel with my wife and kids.
The rooms very clean. The beds very comfortable.
And the owners very nice.
The pension is located in a deadend road, with the most beautiful view i have ever seen.
Next door ,its true ,they are building an appartment house. But still its quite.
And in the day you are at the beach...and at night they dont work.
But the construction wont be there for ever.
I can recommend this hotel. The comment of SUSA is absolutly not true.

|I had planned to stay at this place for 2 weeks...I stayed one night because I was given a lousy room which I had not reserved and it was noisy due to construction next door.
The woman managing the hotel was awful to deal with and should be replaced.I am sure that with better management of the property this would be a nice place to stay.

|we stayed for only 1 night even though intended 3 nights. this pension is not very comfortable, rather filthy dark rooms, worn out beds, the closet was very damp. the room was very hot no AC and the ceilling fan only provided one speed, dead slow. I suppose the reason was a lack sufficient electriciity. that ist why we left after 1 night. for 40 bucks per night are other places much nicer to stay
I would rather not recommend this hotel. they do a lot advertising, it would be better if they would spend more on maintaining their hotel. by the way owner or who she is, wasn't even friendly with the clients and gave the impression, nothing would matter to her.
