I arrived at the Hamaca at 4a.m. on 2/21/05, to find a long, upset line of people trying to check in only to find out that this hotel was overbooked, and no one was able to get there rooms! no one was compensated in any way, except for a free cab ride up the street were they were telling people to go. I ended up in a dump of a room up the street, and then the next day I went back to the Hamaca to check in at 5pm(check in is at 3:00, but they said the room wont be ready until 5). the rooms are nice, the grounds are beautiful, but this is a massive hotel, and my room was in the garden section, which is a long walk to the beach. the animation shows at nite are great, very entertaining. the buffet was average, I was dissapointed that there were no avacados or yucca at all! I have stay in other resorts in the DR that I have spent less than 70US for an all inclusive and the food was much better! I only stayed at the Hamaca to eat and sleep, so I cant comment on anything else. also the beach is large, and beautiful, but I spent my days on the beach in fornt of different resorts. I loved Boca Chica I plan to go back, but definetly not back to the Hamaca. It was also way to much money. Not worth it!

When I arrived to this resort, I had the impression that the it was a Bronx Subway Station.
Also, it was very dangerous to go ouside the resort. |
