Just stayed here with my family in April '07. I was dissapointed in the decor but enjoyed the apt. type rooms that actually face the beach (like # 4005). The other rooms in apt. type buildings, aren't as nice. This hotel is actually 70 kilometers from the city of Samana which I hadn't realized because they market themselves as the Viva Wyndham Samana. However, it's in Las Terrenas and folks say that the beaches are beautiful here and they are. The employees are great here and the Mediterranean restaurant here is very good. This is an all inclusive resort and I think you have to pay for the Mediterranean restaurant. There was a free show on Friday night that my family enjoyed.
