Aventurate: Eco tourism fair in May

Iberia starts daily Madrid flights
Iberia has resumed daily flights to the Dominican Republic. The airline suspended its flights in 2013 and resumed them in September 2014.
Flights make connections to more than 80 other Iberia destinations in Europe, Africa and the Middle East via Madrid's international airport.
Tourists flooding in for Easter Week
The number of tourists in the country has increased over the last few days because of Easter Week. The number of flights has also increased.
According to the figures, 60% of visitors arriving at the Las Americas International airport hail from France, Italy, Germany, Spain as well as Canada, the United States and Puerto Rico where they are met by tour companies and taken to hotels around the country.
Immigration and Customs have set up special desks to ensure that arriving passengers do not have to wait too long.
According to sources, hotels in the east of the country, especially Boca Chica and Juan Dolio are at 90% occupancy.
Nickelodeon to build hotel for children in Punta Cana
Promoted as the first of a luxurious family-friendly hotel collection to deliver Nickelodeon-style vacations with the first opening in Punta Cana in 2016.
The popular children's brand will feature favorite Nickelodeon characters like SpongeBob SquarePants, Dora the Explorer and the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles as part of the resort's attractions.

The company has reached an agreement with Karisma Hotels & Resorts to develop the new family hotels. Nickelodeon Hotels will also be offering the Gourmet Inclusive Experience, a vacation carefully catered to guests who prefer quality over quantity.

Galina Lyssenko recognized in Moscow trade show
The Dominican Republic's tourism promotion director in Russia, Galina Lyssenko, was recognized by leading Russian tour operator Tez Tour during the 2015 Moscow International Travel and Tourism (MITT) fair that took place from 23-26 March 2015. An estimated 90,000 visitors and 3,000 exhibitors attended the event. The Dominican Republic is now the leading long-haul destination for Russian tourists. Several major Dominican resorts took part in the annual event.
