Coral Hospitality manages Balcones del Atlantico
Balcones del Atlantico, the luxury hotel and rental in El Portillo, Las Terrenas beach, is now under the management of Coral Hospitality and its Xeliter brand portfolio of luxury rentals.
"Xeliter represents and adds to what the country has to offer, luxury properties like Balcones del Atlantico, which enrich and enhance the diversity of our holiday product," said CHC president Julio Llibre. Llibre is a former president of the National Hotel & Tourism Association.
Xeliter also operates the Vista Mare (Samana), Golden Bear Lodge and Caleton Villas (Cap Cana, Punta Cana), Costa del Sol and Marbella (Juan Dolio), among other vacation properties.

Tropical Aero Servicios (TAS) is operating domestic flights connecting Punta Cana-Puerto Plata-Santiago-Punta Cana with flights on Fridays and Sundays. General manager of the company, As Henriquez explained TAS had operated charter flights for the corporate and domestic market over the past five years. He said the flight makes it easy for tourists to enjoy both the attractions of the east coast and the north coast in a single short vacation stay. He stressed the high level of commitment of airline staff with passenger safety and satisfaction.

Record air arrivals to Punta Cana International
Could it be the hot summer worldwide? Whatever. More than 500 flights a week mostly filled with beach-goers are arriving to Punta Cana International Airport (PUJ) on the East Coast. This is a new record for the East Coast airport, the largest in the Dominican Republic and that has received 66.8% of all air traffic to the Dominican Republic in the first half of the year.
Most arrivals are from the United States. Airport authorities told Bavaro News arrivals of new flights are expected. The airport has connections to more than 28 countries and 96 cities around the world.
Travel up 8.7% in June
US travelers continue to arrive in record numbers to the Dominican Republic, with Punta Cana leading the way as one of the hottest leisure destinations in the world. The Central Bank Statistics Department reports that the improvements in the US economy have resulted in increases in US travelers, consolidating the country as the leader in tourism in the Caribbean.
Travel to the DR in June has consistently increased. In 2013, the total number of travelers arriving to the Punta Cana International Airport in June was 431,554, increasing to 480,847 in 2014 and now to 522,490 in June 2015.
There has been consistent monthly growth all throughout this year. Travel was up in every single month of 2015: January (7.5%), February (7.2%), March (7.3%), April (3.8%), May (8.1%), June (8.7%).
