Bahia Estela is located in Las Terrenas, on the
un-spoilt Samana peninsula, on the northeast coast of the Dominican Republic. It
is approximately ten minutes from the town center and three hours from Puerto
Plata International Airport. Samana has two airports for small aircraft; the
International Airport of Samana, El Catey, will be operational November 2006.

The hotel offers a swimming pool with swim –up bar,
children’s pool area, kids club and currency exchange. Also available are car
rental, laundry, baby sitting and medical assistance. There is a pharmacy,
boutique and souvenir shop in the vicinity.
The 80 rooms are in two-story buildings, decorated in warm pastel shades and
adorned with typical Caribbean furnishings: bright colors, rattan furniture and
naïf paintings in cheerful colors.
The hotel offers two room categories:
Superior:
All rooms have a balcony or terrace with ocean or garden view and a queen-sized
bed, sofa, bathroom with shower, air conditioning, minibar, satellite TV,
telephone, hair dryer, safe and iron. Cribs available upon request.
Suites:
Mini-apartments consisting of a master bedroom with king-sized bed, a living
area with a sofa-bed, kitchenette with fridge, bathroom with shower and a
terrace or balcony. All rooms have air conditioning, satellite TV, telephone,
DVD player, hair dryer, safe and iron.
The hotel offers 3 bars – main bar, lobby bar and swim-up pool bar as well as 2
restaurants.
Bahia Estela operates under an All Inclusive modality.
The ocean front restaurant offers an a-la-carte international menu with Nouvelle
Caribbean cuisine. A splendid wine list and background music make dinner even
more enjoyable.
The Samana peninsula is one of the best preserved destinations of the Dominican
Republic and attractions such as Cayo Levantado and Playa Rincon are perfect for
eco-holiday lovers. The most popular excursion is whale-watching: the whales
pass through these waters from January to March every year. Another well-liked
expedition is the visit to Los Haitises National Park – 1600 square km with
mangrove trees and Taino caves with rock drawings – you ride to the Limón
waterfall and can enjoy the local arts & crafts in Las Terrenas village.
