My family and I are flying into Santa Domingo and I need information about how to get to my resort in Bayahibe. Transportation is not included in my package. How do I get a bus or how much would it be for a taxi? Any info would be very helpful. Thanks

Is there any possibility you could fly into the Punta Aguila Airport of La Romana. American Airlines flies there from Miami and American Eagle from San Juan. That would put you about 25 minutes from your hotel.

If you fly into Santo Domingo, the taxi fare is RD$1,100 (about US$69) to Bayahibe/Dominicus hotels. If you decide to take the taxi, maybe you can negotiate with the taxi driver for him to drop you off for half an hour in Altos de Chavon. Invite him for refreshments or a pizza lunch. It's a two hour drive from the Airport to Bayahibe.
