Man, im here in the San Francisco Bay Area, i've been here for the past 2 years and some change and i cant stand it, i mean i like it, but the fact that there arent any Dominicans out here. i do have the added luxury of going to this lil spot called Sofritos in Oakland, and i got a few salsa clubs to go to, but damn where are my people at?

Since you are in San Francisco, the Dominican Consulate (on Market Street) can help you find other Dominicans. But there are not too many of us around here. I live about three hours away from San Francisco.

Shipping from LA to DR
I am looking for a company that ships from the LA door to door to Santiago. Does anyone know of a company in LA that can help me.
Also, I am working with a foundation in LA and we have started a program called, "Mi Gente" where we will collect clothing, shoes and other items and distribute them to needy families in the DR.
