Question Paraíso Caño Hondo

My husband and I are going to be staying at the Paraíso Caño Hondo after spending 4 days at Casa de Campo. We thought it would be a nice switch and we are very interested in the environment, caves, whale watching, etc.
I am not finding very much information about the hotel. We will be there for 3 nights and just want to get as much information as I can (photos of rooms, other's experiences, things to know, etc)

any thoughts or info would be much appreciated! gracias!

Is your question about the hotel or the environment?

Default Paraíso Caño Hondo

Primarily for starters we just wanted to know more about the hotel amenities, rooms, dining, etc just to have an idea. We have found quite a bit of information about the surrounding areas and things to see and do, just very little about the hotel itself. The only real photos I have seen are the exterior waterfalls which look amazing as do the rest of the grounds.

thank you!

Well, since it's about the hotel and not the environment, I'm going to shift this thread into the appropriate Travel forum (East Coast).

We were there recently. Highly recommended. The rooms are enormous, imaginatively decorated and sleep up to six. It is clean and what you'd expect from a rural eco-lodge type hotel in terms of comfort.
As it was January it got quite cold at night. The food wasn't gourmet but there was a decent amount of choice on the menu. The Los Haitises excursion was well worth it and the guide was by far the best we've met - name of Rafael - who also works at the hotel. The road there is quite bad, especially the last 12 kms from Sabana de la Mar.

I had some photos lined up for my next blog entry but here is a preview:
One of the pools - great for swimming after the Los Haitises trip:

Oh, and beware of 'Gringo'.
