Somewhere in the region of between 3 and 8 cases a month of foreigners arrested for attempted muling are reported in the papers. Then there are those not reported.

After reading the article you sort of draw your own conclusions ~ "Meanwhile, according to a source, fitness instructor Daniel, 29, admitted the Class A drugs were found in HIS case but would not say if he put them there"

I do hope that the kids get over this as soon as possible though.

Both Kelly Carrigan and Daniel Patterson were sentenced to 8 years today.

I have been involved in the case since October and i can assure you that The young lady is totally innocent and has been through and seems will continue to go through a terrible ordeal.

The children were in an Orphanage for a little over a week and then collected by the grandparents.

After what i have seen today and over the last nine months, DO NOT GET YOURSELF IN TROUBLE IN THE DR!!!!!!!!

So the male didn't get a 'get out of jail' card. I think some of us wondered if it was all going to get loaded onto the female. Is she going to appeal the sentence, Laura?

Dont know the particulars of the case but it is wise to make sure you know who you are traveling with very good to avoid these problems and also if you are using or doing or transporting drugs in the DR you are in for a world of pain in their legal system. You can make a phone call or pay people off for most anything but once they get you with narcotics the price of poker goes through the roof. If you need to use drugs while on vacation I would reccomend you using another destination other than DR.

Yes she will be appealing, I will PM you to fill you in on the details i could really use your advice.
