Default US public notary

Hi,

My friend Corey and I were wondering if anybody here knows whether there is a US public notary at the US Consulate or Embassy in Santo Domingo or Santiago or Puerto Plata to sign a document in front of.

Thanks

Massimo

You can get documents notarized at US Consulate in SD.

Sorry to resurrect such an old thread, but I wonder if anyone has any updated information.

I need a US notary in Santiago if there is one, I suppose a Dominican notary will do, but it is sometimes difficult to get them to notarize documents that do not meet certain Dominican legal criteria, which in the case of a US document is irrelevant.

Default US Notary

You can get things notorized at the US consulate in Santo Domingo. You can only have it done on certain days and during certain times and there is a fee involved, I think 50/page.

Here is the website:

Embajada de los Estados Unidos en Santo Domingo, República Dominicana

If going to Puerto Plata is easier for you, then you can contact the US Consul there

Thanks guys, I was able to persuade a Dominican Notary to notarize my document. So, no trip to PP or SD for me.
