1ST ANNUAL NORTH COAST CHARITY GOLF CLASSIC PLAYA DORADA GOLF CLUB, PUERTO PLATA, DOM. REP.

Date: Sept. 07, 2008

* Texas Scramble format, best ball is played by each player.

* Shotgun Start.

* 4 players per team.

* Enter your own 4-some or join others to complete a group.

* Each Player must have at least one tee-shot count.

* 9:30 a.m. Start Time, late arrivals will have to catch up with their group.

* Cost: RD$2,500 per player, includes green fees, golf cart and a hamburger and fries after play.

* Players must register and pay before September 01, 2008.

* Registration and pay at: Pedro McMurphy's Irish Pub and Sports Bar in Sosua, Jolly Roger's Bar & Restaurant in Sosua and Mi Taverna in Santo Domingo. Cash only.

* As participants pay we will list them in this thread until max. number of players is fulfilled.

* Registration is limited to 52 total players and is first come, first served.

* All proceeds will benefit Hogar Crea, a substance abuse program in Puerto Plata with over 50 people in the program.

* We are still accepting sponsors. If you or your business would like to bring additional support please contact any of the registration sites.

* Significant prizes will be given players, and various add-ons such as longest drive, longest putt, closest to the hole are planned.

The tournament is focused on two things; having a very good time and supporting a very worthy cause. All are welcome!

This should be a great day and I'm looking forward to seeing a few familiar faces.

Is my credit good enough for someone to go pay my fees at Sosua?? I don't get over there very often & would HATE to miss out on this extravaganza!!

Count me in organisers. If I can find someone someone coming from Sosua to Puerto Plata I'll give them the RD $2,500 to pay my dues right away!! ~ Grahame.

HB. We are not going to use Handicaps in this tournament as we are planning on it being a fun event with the idea being "have fun, play some golf, enjoy the comradery, all while raising some money for a much needed cause". Hope to see you guys there...Tom

Questions about the tournament should be directed to twhitehead until Aug. 15, then he goes traveling until about Aug. 31 and will read and answer sporadically.
