Default Cabana

There was an extensive thread years ago on cabana's. Time for an update in the interest of public information.
I have a "friend" that wants to visit one on the north coast area including Santiago. What's available in upper class?

Bora Bora is nice. I think around RD$600 for their basic room, which is nice.

Generally I found Cabanas in Santiago and North Coast in general to be far superior in terms of quality and value for money, than their counterparts in Santo Domingo.

Default The best

The best Cabana is no Cabana. Heart-shaped beds, mirrored ceilings, jacuzzis and all the Vegas smoky plasmas and mirrors will never compare to those immediate carnal urgings that serendipitously create fond memories in the most unlikely places.
On the other hand, I hear the first little place just east of Cabarete is pretty good (stories from my single friends).

Another vote for Bora Bora.
Their basic (sencilla) is as nice as most any four star hotel can claim... the Presidential suites are quite unique... many styles available, at RD$ 1200 for 3 hours, if you want to flatter your date.

Bora Bora

This one was actually recommended to me by a dominican friend in Santiago. Nice, affordable, and most importantly, discrete.

Vince.

Bora Bora is a palace in comparison to the Cabarete one... There are a lot of "kinky", weird cabanas, but some nice also and I have always preferred cabanas before hotels when travelling aorund in new places (with my girlfriend), the car and stuff locked in - feels safer. Before they were way cheaper than hotels also, but that is not the case anymore.
