The domain IS under Wal-Mart's ownership, so I doubt very much that they would shell out a lot of money for an established biz in the DR just to get some already up and running RE...
Contrary to popular gossip here, Wal-Mart to this date has not made any investment in the DR, nor has it bought any chain out as reported.
I contacted the International operations mgmt. via the investors’ disclosure contacts and was told that NO investment was made into the DR in the past or developing quarter of this financial year.
Hogwash! No Wal-Mart in the DR for a while…
