Flight to the UK on a Work Visa

A Dominican friend has a work visa in UK for 6 months and has a flight on a charter for Monday but is worried he needs a return ticket to be allowed in UK.
Does anyone know if it matters 1 way or return on a work visa

When I entered UK with a UK Work Visa, I was not asked to provide information about a return flight; I am not Dominican, but I don't think it makes a difference. UK is a nice place to work and I wish your friend luck.

OK quick update for anyone who might need the info.
So a Dominican can travel on a UK charter flight with a work permit/visa and not need a return ticket!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
But lets see on Monday, well it will be Tuesday here if it goes smooth and he gets in to UK.

Yes indeed he did make it, via a one way charter flight from POP to LGW.
So it would seem Dominicans with the correct visa etc, can fly to UK on a charter flight.
