Wireless at Quality

Quality Hotel is the closest hotel to the Las Americas International Airport. It is less than a five minute drive from the airport.
Passports deadline extended through 2006
The departments of Homeland Security and State of the US government have released changes to the Western Hemisphere Travel Initiative. The Initiative had required that all US citizens have passports in order to return to the US when visiting the Dominican Republic and other Caribbean countries as of 31 December 2005. The government announced it would extend the requirement to 31 December 2006. As of that date, the US government will require US citizens and foreign nations to present a passport when entering the United States. The requirement will apply to all air and sea travel to or from Canada, Mexico, Central and South America, the Caribbean and Bermuda. As of 31 December 2007, the requirement is extended to all land border crossings as well as air and sea travel.
Presidente Latin Music Festival
Jennifer Lopez and her husband Marc Anthony are booked to make appearances on the opening night of the Presidente Latin Music Festival in Santo Domingo. This will be a first for JLo, but is a repeat performance for Marc Anthony. Presentations are scheduled for 14 to 16 October beginning at 6:00 pm each night at the Olympic Stadium in Santo Domingo.
Other international performers scheduled for the 2005 Presidente Latin Music Festival are Julieta Venegas, Diego Torres, David Bisbal, Chayanne, Franco De Vita and Daddy Yankee. Local performers include Negros, Frank Reyes, Eddy Herrera, Krisspy and a special combined performance by Sergio Vargas, Los Rosario, Los Toros Band and Rubby.
Venegas, Torres, De Vita, Bisbal and Daddy Yankee are first-timers in the Festival. So are Negros, Reyes, Krisspy and Rubby.
Presenters will be Tania Baez, Jochy Santos, Luis Manuel Aguilo and Milagros German.
