Summer program at the Puntacana Resort & Club
The Puntacana Resort & Club is inviting children and teenagers to its summer programs that start 17 June and run through 9 August. The programs include specialized instruction in tennis and football.
The Tennis Camp will operate under the supervision of Felix de los Santos, a member of the US Tennis Association (PTR) and the International Tennis Federation (ITF).
The Milan Junior Camp is for children between the ages of 7 and 16 and training will be held on the Puntacana International School football pitches, from 29 June to 10 July. This camp is organized and run by instructors from the world famous Italian football club AC Milan.
The tennis and football camp programs also include visits to the beach, natural reserve, petting zoo and other attractions in the area.

Frontier to fly to Punta Cana
Denver-based discount airline Frontier Airlines has announced its first nonstop winter season flights from Lansing, Michigan to Punta Cana, Dominican Republic. The seasonal flights will start on 24 January and continue through 21 April 2014, Lansing State Journal reports. The flights will leave from Capital Region International Airport. The Frontier flights, as part of travel packages offered by Apple Vacations, will depart to Punta Cana on Sundays.
Kevin Pritchard coming for Cabarete Classic
Pablito Guzman's Eighth Annual Cabarete Classic is set for 17-21 July 2013. The windsurfing/kiteboarding competition is the top windsurfing event in the Dominican Republic and one of the leading events of its kind in the world. Competitors and tourists from all over the globe will be coming to Cabarete to join the festivities, bringing much energy and excitement to the area, announced the organizers. Special appearances in the competition and clinic by world champion in windsurf, Kevin Pritchard, will charge the event with exhilaration and enthusiasm for the sport in Cabarete.
626 new flights cleared for summer
The Civil Aviation Board has announced that 626 flights were approved last week. This includes 28 additional regular frequencies by Delta Air Lines and 598 weekly charter flights. The flights commence 1 June.
Delta Air Lines added seven weekly flights on the New York/Santo Domingo route. Another seven are being added for the New York/Punta Cana route and 14 for the New York/Santiago route. The flights double the company's current services. Delta is filling in the void left by American Airlines, which cancelled several flights to the United States this spring.
The charter flights will fly to the Punta Cana, Santo Domingo, La Romana and Samana airports from June to August.
