Easter Holidays start 11 April
The peak domestic travel long weekend is coming. While school children are out from Friday, 11 April, from Thursday, 17 April through Sunday, 20 April thousands of commuters leave for rentals, resorts and hotels in vacation destinations all around the country.
Because so many people leave traffic-congested Santo Domingo, the holidays are a great time to be in the city. Church visiting is popular in the Colonial City and Roman Catholic Churches stay open into the evening.
